IEX has been spearheading capacity building initiatives since 2007 with an objective to educate stakeholders about the power market development both in the national as well as international context.

Through our training and capacity building initiative, we plan to share our experience using workshops and training sessions on power markets. We envision imparting various courses in association with leading educational institutions in India. The facilitating methodology will include real time scenarios, case studies along with “hands on” experience on the best trading platform in India.

As the Indian power market is in transition, there is a need to understand the power scenario in terms of demand, supply and overall portfolio management. A bouquet of IEX courses are streamlined to take into account, all these.

IEX has successfully conducted following residential training programs – six programs at IIT Kanpur (July 2014, April 2015, February-March 2016, April 2017, April-May 2018 and July 2019) and four at ASCI Hyderabad (August-September 2015, October 2016, October-November 2017 and November 2018).

These programs provided participants with a unique opportunity to interact and train under prominent power sector experts and faculty from premier Institutions. The course content presented the latest developments in the power market in an insightful and interactive manner.
