Project Netra Shakti

Indian Energy Exchange Limited implemented Project Netra Shakti, supported by employee volunteers, to support visually impaired youth through AI-enabled assistive devices that improve mobility, accessibility, and independent living. The initiative was implemented in partnership with Torch IT Electronics Private Limited.

Beneficiaries: visually impaired youth (18–25 years)
Devices: AI Smart Cane & Smart Glasses
Smart Glasses support 19 language translations
135 kits distributed across Delhi
2–3 days of hands-on training for every beneficiary

Project Vidya Program

Indian Energy Exchange Limited, in partnership with Educate Girls, implemented the Vidya Program in Gonda to strengthen rural school ecosystems and improve access to education for underserved children. The initiative focused on enrolment, life skills, leadership development, and community participation.

1,027 out-of-school children mainstreamed into education
450+ students benefited through School Management Committee initiatives
117 girl leaders trained through Bal Sabhas
60 schools equipped with hanging libraries

Mid-Day Meal Programme

Indian Energy Exchange Limited, in partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, supported the Mid-Day Meal Programme in Delhi. The initiative aimed to improve child nutrition, health, and school participation among students from socio-economically disadvantaged communities.

Served 3.69 lakh nutritious meals

Project Netra Shakti

I have recently completed my M.A., and I am currently preparing for competitive exams. Before using this support, it was not easy for me to manage certain daily tasks, especially things like identifying currency notes or reading printed books independently. After receiving access to this app through the support of Indian Energy Exchange, it has become much easier for me. Now I am able to identify currency notes and read books on my own, which is helping me in my studies as well as in daily life. This has made a practical difference for me while preparing for my exams, as I can now access and understand materials more independently.
